For the third time in four weeks, De Anza College travels south - this time 120 miles to Coalinga College in the hot Central Valley.

With temperatures expected to near the century mark for Saturday's 1 p.m. kickoff, the Lions (3-0) hope to continue their hot season start.

After winning three games by a combined 135-30 margin, De Anza enters the week as Northern California Football Conference's top-ranked American Division team.

The Coalinga Falcons (1-1) are coming of an early season Bye Week, following a 49-6 win at Yuba College on Sept. 14.

Both teams are among the top scoring offenses in NorCal, with De Anza at No. 2 (43.3 ppg) and Coalinga ranking fifth (35.0). Both are also in the Top 10 in scoring defense; De Anza is No. 1 (11.7 ppg) and Coalinga is No. 8 (17.5).

De Anza sophomore QB Antevious Jackson leads the region in passing yards per game (273.7), touchdown passes (9), and passing efficiency (198.2). Jackson also leads the team in rushing (131 yds and 2 TDs).
