De Anza College football starts the 2025 season as members of the Northern California Football Conference American Division Golden Coast League - and a home date against former National Division program San Joaquin Delta College.
The Lions are coming off a 10-1 season and a Pacific 7 League championship, while the Mustangs will be seeking a victory as new members of the PAC-7.
Kickoff at De Anza College is set for 1 p.m.
"This is a brand new team and we have to earn everything all over again," said De Anza head coach Joe D'Agostino, who guided the school to its first 10-0 regular season since 1979.
"While we lost several key contributors, we are looking forward to our returners stepping up and leading our newcomers. I really like this group of young men, but we don't know what we truly have until we line up. I know Delta coach Gary Barlow will have his team prepared and we expect a great opening game."
De Anza enters Week 1 as the No. 25 team in California - the only team from the American Division's group of 12.
The game will be streamed live on YouTube via NorCal Sports TV, with play-by-play commentating by Dom Cariel.

Parking is free in all college parking lots - except marked spaces. Recommended parking is Lot C (including Stelling Garage) and Lot E (West side of Stadium).
Stadium Gates are closest to Lot C. Canopies (top row of bleachers only) and umbrellas are allowed, as long as they do not block the view of others.
