Charles Wright enters his first season as Defensive Coordinator at De Anza College, bringing decades of coaching experience at both the high school and junior college levels. Wright most recently served as the Head Coach at Richmond High School, everywhere he has coached he has built a reputation for developing disciplined, competitive defenses and mentoring student-athletes on and off the field.

A respected veteran of California football, Wright's coaching roots trace back to the junior college ranks, where he worked alongside legendary coach Alonzo Carter during the early stages of a distinguished coaching career. His extensive experience spans multiple levels of the game, with a strong emphasis on defensive development, player accountability, and building championship culture.

Known for his passion, leadership, and ability to connect with players, Wright brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the De Anza defense as the Mountain Lions continue their pursuit of excellence on the field and in the classroom.
