SAN BERNARDINO - If we can take anything away in the two weeks since the last California Community College Sports Information Association men's soccer poll is that you might need to expect the unexpected this season.

The bi-weekly poll of sports information professionals saw major shakeups up and down the results, as the 13 respondents split first-place votes among six teams, and left only 100 polling points between No. 1 and No. 12 in the second poll of the 2025 season.

De Anza, which had been No. 2 in the previous poll, moved up into the top spot this week despite receiving only two first place votes.

In the No. 2 spot was El Camino, which moved up one spot in the poll with 203 points – despite losing its first home nonconference game since 2018 on Friday to San Bernardino Valley, which jumped nine spots to No. 5 in this week's poll.

Santa Monica jumped two spots into the No. 3 spot, receiving two first-place votes, and 190 points. Feather River, the previous No. 1 team, dropped to No. 4, just five points ahead of San Bernardino Valley, leading a log jam in the top 10 from there with 16 points separating fifth through tenth. SBVC (161 points), Santa Rosa (159), Evergreen Valley (157 with three first-place votes), Pasadena City (155), Cosumnes River (154), and Cuyamaca (145 with three first-place votes) rounded out the top 10.

In all, 36 teams received a vote in this week's poll.
