Lions Power Past LPC
The De Anza College women's volleyball team earned an impressive 3–1 road victory at Las Positas on Wednesday evening, winning by scores of 25-16, 25-21, 26-28, 25-23.
The Mountain Lions improved their overall record to 12-11 with one of their most complete offensive outings of the season, led by dominant play from sophomore Ajla Cakisic and freshman Sophia Quach.

Ajla Cakisic was stellar at the net, finishing with 15 kills, 5 aces, and 14 digs for a match-high 21.5 points.

Sophia Quach added 13 kills and 15 digs, providing a consistent attack on the outside.

Claire Sugrue chipped in 8 kills and 3 blocks, while Brianna Dalzochio was key in the middle with 5 kills, 5 blocks, and a .286 hitting percentage.

Setter Violeta Velazquez controlled the offense, dishing out 36 assists to go along with 4 aces and 8 digs.
Team Defense and Serving
De Anza's back-row defense was anchored by CC Bonnard, who collected 8 digs, while libero Jocelyn Balderas and Ava Hudnut helped keep rallies alive and served tough. The Mountain Lions' serving game was a major weapon, totaling 14 aces compared to seven errors.
At the net, De Anza finished with 17 team blocks (3 solo, 14 assisted), led by Dalzochio and Sugrue, who combined for seven.
