The De Anza College women's volleyball team closed out its 2025 regular season with a thrilling five-set match against No. 25 Cabrillo College on Friday night, falling just short in a 3-2 contest (25-23, 15-25, 25-23, 17-25, 7-15).
Despite the narrow defeat, De Anza capped its most successful campaign since 2019, when the program finished 19-9.
This season, the Lions (15-15 overall) finished fourth in the Coast Conference North Division with a 4-6 record.
The team awaits the announcement of 32CA playoff seedings on Tuesday, as the Lions hope to earn a spot in the 20-team NorCal field.
