De Anza Dominates Foothill In District Rivalry Match

The De Anza College men's soccer team continued its Coast Conference season with a commanding 4-1 victory over rival Foothill College on Tuesday afternoon.

DA improves to 8-4-3 on the season and 4-3-2 in the South Division. Foothill drops to 8-7-1 and 3-5-0.

First-Half Highlights

• In the 39th minute, Ryan Corcoran found the net on an assist from Andre Gonzalez Lombera.

• Just before halftime, Erick Serrano put De Anza ahead 2-1 (another Gonzalez Lombera assist), sending the Lions into the break with momentum.

Second-Half Statement

De Anza continued to press forward after halftime, turning up the tempo and converting its chances.

• In the 59th minute, Keven "Peewee" Orocio scored off an assist from Alexis Preciado, extending the lead.

• Corcoran's second goal sealed the win late in the 87th minute (assisted by Hernan Alvarez Funes).

• Goalkeeper Carlos Balthazar anchored the back line with five saves.
